Tours through Jetscape Travel

For the serious backpacker, looking for travel destinations and setting up accommodations – by themselves – are part of the thrill. This may also be true to those who are less serious travelers, but are budget conscious. If you’re familiar with the place, if you have an idea where to go, if you know where to look, if you have network in your dream vacation place, you could do the booking yourself. Continue Reading…

Long Weekends for 2009

The Philippines celebrated Ninoy Aquino Day just last week. This holiday most probably has a special meaning for Filipinos, which is just right, though let’s not feel as guilty if we also see it as another long weekend (August 21-23, Friday to Sunday). It’s not the last long weekend for this year 2009 Continue Reading…

Travel Tip: Typhoons in the Philippines

A typhoon, somewhere else in the world, is also called a storm, cyclone or hurricane. We’ve just retrieved the Jetscape Travel Blog from its bubble wrap (it’s not finished yet, even), so there’s a reason to be late. Better late than never, as they say, but let’s not dwell on that, shall we? Let’s list down the declared regular and national holidays for 2009, pursuant to Proclamation 1699 and other related issuances (indicated beside the holiday name): Continue Reading…

Jetscape Travel and Tours Blog

Don’t get too excited. This is just an initial run to see how this site should be more helpful to travelers and tourists, both Filipinos and foreigners, whether to, within or from the Philippines (yes, my dear, we do Philippine and international tours and travel). Of course, we’re tinkering with it to check how it works.

You’ll probably notice, should you be interested in visiting this site from time to time (or subscribe (click here) to receive new posts by email, even if you don’t check this site), that there will be changes, some of which would escape your attention. It’s the same with revisiting a travel destination, sometimes you have this nagging feeling that something changed, but you can’t put your finger on it.

Now, you’re probably thinking: “Why can’t you just work on it and just come back when you’re done?” Continue Reading…
